Who is The Chevy Chase Bank Victims Society?

The Chevy Chase Bank Victims Society is a group of law abiding, tax paying, United States of America citizens who have been victimized by Chevy Chase Bank, FSB. Our numbers have been growing every day since 1996 when CCB implemented their risk-based pricing shortly after jumping state lines from Maryland to Virginia. Many of the members had been customers of CCB for years, were paying their bills on-time, and have good, clean payment histories. Using the ill-defined, potentially prejudicial, and discriminatory credit scoring practices provided by the credit bureaus, CCB labeled their customers, and determined that certain ones were credit risks based on the second hand and largely unsubstantiated data gathered by credit bureaus.

Upon surveying the experiences of the victims, we determined that a large percentage had two things in common: large outstanding balances (that would take a month or more to transfer to another bank), and the ability to pay. So it didn't take a great deal of effort to figure out that we were specifically targeted by CCB so that they could make a quick buck!
